Özetle Mustafa Kemal Paşa, Cumhuriyetin ve devrimlerin tümüyle tartışma dışında bırakılmasını ve sadece iktisadi ve mali konuların tartışılmasını istiyordu. İşte bu ortamda kurulan Serbest Cumhuriyet Fırkası kısa zamanda önemli bir gelişme göstermiş ve genel başkan Ali Fethi Bey’in Ege bölgesine yaptığı ziyaret büyük ilgi görmüştü. Ancak Terakkiperver Cumhuriyet Fırkası deneyiminde olduğu gibi özellikle irtica yanlılarının ve bütün Cumhuriyet düşmanlarının SCF saflarında toplanmaya başlaması uzun sürmedi. Ali Fethi Bey’in İzmir gezisi sırasında Cumhuriyet Halk Fırkası aleyhinde gösteriler yapıldı, parti binası taşlandı ve partiyi destekleyen bir gazetenin matbaasına saldırıda bulunuldu. Bu arada Mustafa Kemal Paşa’nın fotoğraflarının yırtılması gibi olaylarla da karşılaşıldı. Böylece ülkede kısa bir süre içerisinde anarşi ortamı doğdu ve parti kurucularının bütün iyi niyetlerine rağmen ortaya çıkan Cumhuriyet karşıtı faaliyetlerin önüne geçilemedi. Bu gelişmeler üzerine Serbest Cumhuriyet Fırkası, kurucuları tarafından 17 Kasım 1930’da feshedildi yani kapatıldı. AYT sınavı alan fırkası bilgisi ölçerken, YDT ise yabancı dil eğitimi almak isteyen öğrenciler içindir. Dördüncüsü ise tabanda fırkası oluşan bir kanat.

Serbest Cumhuriyet Fırkası’nın Özellikleri Nelerdir? Atatürk'ün istek ve onayı ile birlikte, dönemin Paris Büyükelçisi olan Fethi Okyar'ın başkanlığı kapsamında Cumhuriyet Halk Fırkası'na karşı birikmiş olan tepkileri dağıtmak ve devleti sarsmayacak yapıda bir muhalefet partisini oluşturmak amacı ile kuruldu. Cumhuriyetçilik, laiklik ve milliyetçilik ilkelerine bağlılığın vurgulanmakta olduğu parti programı kapsamında, Cumhuriyet Halk Fırkası'ndan daha farklı olarak, devletçi bir ekonomi yerine özel bir girişim savunuldu. Parti kısa zamanda, geniş kitleleri çevresinde topladı. Serbest Cumhuriyet Fırkası’nın Kurucuları Kimlerdir? Serbest Cumhuriyet Fırkası’nın kurucusu ve genel başkanı Ali Fethi Okyar’dır. Partinin genel sekreteri ise Mehmet Nuri Conker’dir. Serbest Cumhuriyet Fırkası, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’ün isteği üzerine Ali Fethi Okyar’a verilmiş olan bir yetkidir. Yürüyerek para kazandıran uygulama gerçek mi.
Tek partili bir yönetimden memnun değildi. Ayrıca o dönem bütün dünyayı kasıp kavuran 1929 ekonomik krizinden Türkiye ekonomisi de önemli ölçüde etkilenmişti. Atatürk, bu süreçte özellikle ekonomi konularında hükümetin icraatlarını denetleyebilecek ve mecliste tartışmaya açabilecek bir muhalefet partisinin varlığını önemli görüyordu. Mustafa Kemal Paşa’nın bu yeni partiden uymasını istediği iki temel şart, cumhuriyetçilik ve laiklik ti. Bu iki temel ilkeden asla taviz vermeyecek olan partinin programı, yaşanan ekonomik ve mali krizi çözecek önlemleri içerecekti.
